John Fisher School of Nursing and Midwifery is a programme/department under the Umbrella of John Fisher Institute of Health Sciences which is private and non-patrician Christian founded school located in Ayago Ward, Lira city East Division-Lira City-2km off Lira- Kitgum Road.<br> The School started its operation in June 2022 as the country recovered from Covid 19.<br> The coming of John Fisher School of Nursing and Midwifery complements government rehabilitation effort of the war affected region of Northern Uganda in a bid to promote education and health services in the region.<br> Besides, for over 3 decades Uganda population suffered poor health care services due to multifaceted factors and government of Uganda has made significant strive to increase physical access to health facilities through liberalization of private sector and establishment of health care centers at various levels.
